trash

Trash or waste is the remains of daily human activities or natural processes in solid form. In our daily lives as students, we often see food packaging waste and organic waste in the school canteen, which makes the place look dirty. Also as a student, we can see trash left under the table that will cause an unpleasant odor. Of course, this can reduce concentration during the learning process. This bad culture of leaving trash carelessly must be addressed. There are several opinions from several people who agree that leaving trash carelessly is a bad culture and the impact of that.

First, several people talk about how if we leave trash carelessly, the environment will be damaged and also will be dangerous for the ecosystem. For example, water pollution can occur when rubbish is thrown into rivers instead of into rubbish bins and this often happens in areas that rubbish cleanup teams cannot reach, such as in remote areas, for example. Apart from polluting river water, the disposal of waste or rubbish can also hinder groundwater processes and of course, this is bad news considering that groundwater is very important for humans. Apart from polluting rivers and hampering groundwater processes, rubbish can also pollute the soil and make it unhealthy.

Second, littering can make the place uncomfortable. This action can be prevented by ourselves when we are in a public place or on public transportation for example. If we don’t see the garbage bin for leaving trash, we can put the trash in our bag, or pocket on our pants, or we often see a plastic bag. There are ways to save the trash temporarily until we find the garbage bin. Temporarily storing trash in plastic bags is also a form of reuse, as we know that plastic bags are difficult to decompose in nature. In my experience, the "BisKita" public transportation place in an area has dirty places on several sides of the place because people throw rubbish carelessly, even though there are already janitors who clean the place so it can be enjoyed. Therefore, to reduce this, we can do this by carrying plastic bags wherever we go, with the intention that the waste we produce can be thrown away in plastic bags and not into the environment. Don't always blame the government for cleanliness, because the biggest factor in an environment full of trash is the people.

In conclusion, there are many different reasons for leaving trash carelessly, such as the environment being damaged, the ecosystem being endangered, water and dirt pollution, and making the place uncomfortable. We must remember that this bad culture starts with us, so we have to be aware of this situation and you can also prevent this by using plastic bags as temporary trash bags.
